Large-scale military exercises Falcon Autumn, conducted under the auspices of the NATO bloc, have begun in the Netherlands. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the country, reports TASS.
According to the ministry, the main task of the maneuvers is to prepare for airborne operations. More than a thousand military personnel and 37 helicopters from the Netherlands, Germany, Poland and the USA will be involved in them.
The Defense Ministry warned that the exercises of the North Atlantic Alliance could lead to a number of inconveniences, in particular, due to the explosion of grenades and low-flying helicopters. It is planned that the maneuvers will last until November 18. It is noted that the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands has created a special website for residents, through which it is possible to report the damage caused.
Earlier it became known that in mid-November, another American carrier strike group led by the new nuclear aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford will arrive in Europe. It is specified that he is heading to the Portsmouth naval base, planes, helicopters and fighter jets are based on his board.
